Not a duplicate. A grass block is not transparent. Please don't post it is a duplicate unless it actually is.

Surely is grass not transparent, but I don't see any difference if the non-pickable item hovers over grass, stone or any transparent block. See also the first comment in MC-15: — Pretty minor, yeah, but pretty irritating too. Possibly unrelated, but sometimes when this happens I can't pick up the item at all, even if I dig all around it, relog, etc.

Although not exactly the same problem description as MC-15, the fix for MC-15 should cover this bug too. Otherwise, re-open it after the release of 1.4.3
