On starting Minecraft, at the Minecraft menu, it appears "Old Graphics Card Detected, this may prevent from playing future as Opengl 2.0 will be required!"

I'm not sure what bug you're trying to report - your video chip reports only supporting OpenGL 1.4 at the highest thus the warning is valid. Newer versions of Minecraft require newer versions of OpenGL.
