Chunks load in the wrong place ruining a world.

I have had a problem where after investing several hours into a world, chunks will switch around and load in the wrong place, often destroying things I have built there. As can be seen in the first screenshot I have provided, a chunk loaded through my house.

I have had it occur in three worlds, though only have statistics for two as I deleted the first one thinking it was just a one-time glitch.

In the second world where it occurred (which is the second screen shot) it occurred after 9 hours of gameplay. In the third world where it occurred (the first screen shot) it occurred after 33 hours. As for the first world, I would guess it occurred after round 6-10 hours.

It has happened in 1.8.4, 1.8.6, and 1.8.7.

I thoroughly enjoy your game, (if playing 33 hours over about two weeks wasn't evidence enough) however this bug makes it rather difficult to play as there is no point in investing time into a world if it is only going to randomly glitch and destroy what I have done.

Please attach the logfile from [minecraft/logs/log-<DATE>.gz|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder] from the time of happening.

This should be the file based on the timestamp.

kumasasa

In that logfile there is nio sign of anything unusual, the time span is from 00:00 to 02:43 - do you have other logs around that date ?

Here's the log before it, and the log after it.

So it seems like your world is somehow corrupted. You could maybe try using tools like the NBTExplorer to fix the level.dat file

Nothing we can do here as long as there aren't detailed steps to reproduce this behaviour.
