When dying in a Hardcore world, the achievements are not reset upon creating a new Hardcore world of the same name. To clarify, the achievements are the same in the new world as they were in the world that has been deleted after death.

No. Only with worlds with identical names. I figured it had something to do with the save file not being completely deleted despite deleting the world.

Did you create the new hardcore world with the same name as the deleted hardcore world or did you chose a different name ?
