Minecraft keeps crashing whenever I click on the multiplayer link

I used to always play on multiplayer servers but lately whenever I click on the multiplayer button in the start menu the game crashes and comes up with the message Uhoh, it looks like the game has crashed! Sorry for the inconvenience 😞
