What I expected to happen was...:
Minecraft would display at Retina resolution
What actually happened was...:
It didn't, and there are no options to increase its resolution
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Minecraft and enable full screen on an rMBP running Mac OS
2. Observe the lack of Retina goodness
This post (https://www.opengl.org/discussion_boards/showthread.php/178916-Using-the-retina-display-on-a-macbook-pro?p=1242037&viewfull=1#post1242037) suggests that a specific Cocoa method can be called to ensure highest possible resolution, but this method is not accessible from other libraries.
Attached is a screenshot of my 2560x1600 screen displaying a 1280x800 GL context.
It would be helpful if this were an option that could be enabled and disabled as oftentimes the Retina display just has too many pixels and eats all of the battery life trying to draw to them.
