Cannot Clear Inventory

I expected the /clear command to fully clear my inventory.

It cleared all items, except the item in the new hot bar slot.

Do do this... put something into the new hot bar slot. Then put however many other items you want into the normal slots. Next type /clear whilst on a lan server or actual public server. It will display that an unknown error occurred.

I hope you can fix it!!!!!!!
