[MC-8310] Some items picked up go into boots slot in inventory, and boots are overwritten and lost.

Happens with thrown items and items given using /give.
Only with certain items - mostly harvestable items e.g. watermelons, but also special blocks like the end portal block 119.

Cannot reproduce, can you please force a crash by holding F3 + C for 10 seconds, and then upload the report here?
