Clay Creeper Face fails to spawn Enderdragon while facing North

I know the clay face is temporary, but I'm not sure if the shape itself is temporary as well, so I'm reporting this just in case.

When building the creeper face to spawn the Enderdragon, if you're building it on the ground so they eyes are the furthest north in the structure, it won't do anything.
