When you equip effect splash potions in the hotbar they have the enchant layout over the entire slot not just the potion. This only happened when I had something behind all of the potions in the hotbar or if something is in off-hand. Also, when I throw a splash potion it seems to throw then break in mid-air but the particles are made over my shoulder and not where the potion is.
