I went to nether and when i came back to the overworld my cows were gone from my ranch.

No problem with mine, I've got around 100 cows in a pen and the only bugs that happen sometimes is when I first connect to that world (private family server on my 2nd PC), some are out of the pen, but that bug is really an old one and not exactly related to this one either.
