Pumpkins and Jack O'lanterns Cannot Be Placed on Various Blocks

The action of placing Pumpkins or Jack O'lanterns is simply prohibited from being atop (from what I've observed so far): Glowstone, Sea Lanterns, Glass, and TNT. This would not be considered so odd if Melons shared the same principle, but they do not abide by this rule.
