The sun is disappearing.

The sun is disappearing.

What I expected was that, after using a renamed Command Block to set the time, the sun would be where it is in the sky or the moon/stars would be in the sky.

What actually happened was, after making a slightly laggy redstone contraption and using the renamed Command Block to set the time, the sun/moon and stars disappeared. Exiting the world and re-entering would work for a moment, but the sun/moon and stars would make a smooth transition to disappearing.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enter a world.
2. Use a command block (unnamed hasn't been tested) to set the time.
3. Look at where the sun would be.
4. Exit and re-enter the world.
5. Look at the sun again.

(Picture shows time set to 5800 while looking at beacon beam, which points to where the sun would be.)

During the rain neither sun, nor moon no stars are visible.

It wasn't raining. -Tails

It's not raining in desert biomes, but the effect remains the same.

Okay. I'll try /toggledownfall, but just FYI, the sun disappeared as soon as I hit the command block button.

Okay. /toggledownfall worked. Very curious though, as it started the "rain" effect as soon as I hit the button.

I've found this happens also when the gamerule doDayLightCycle is set to false, although the toggle downfall does not help.
