[MC-86330] Name of Shield

Sometimes the names of the shields are inncorrect. E.g. A purple shield is named black shields

Can't confirm. You might have mixed base black banner covered completely by purple patterns with black shield. It would then show completely purple shield, but called black shield. In this case it's not a bug!
