I have a large creative world, and though it would be cool to include End Gateway teleport stations to get around quickly. I have two gateways hooked up, one in my spawn chunks and one about 500 blocks away. Going from the outer portal to spawn works fine, but going back causes me to get stuck in the void. Sometimes I can see the chunks that were loaded when I was by spawn as I float, but the chunks around me won't load in. Re-logging fixes the issue instantly. If more information is required I'll be happy to provide it, and I might try to attach a gif of the bug.
TL;DR Putting end gateways far from each other in the overworld will stop chunks from loading around you when you go through one.
