Almost in any version I play, when i opened to lan, everything is fine. But when I quit (i am the host) I *sometimes* would crash. I would wait for a very long time but nothing happens, so i need to force quit minecraft.
Notes:
I am using a mac book air, newest version. (versions/computer doesnt matter at all)
