Cobblestone stairs disapear when chunk unloads

I noticed all of the cobblestone stairs in my house were missing, then when I traveled a couple hundred blocks, I found that all the cobblestone stairs in my cave spider spawner were also missing.

The missing blocks all have darker shading in the spot where they used to be, as if the lighting hasn't updated yet.

I asked the owner of the server if he could check the console for errors, but there weren't any

How to Reproduce:

• place down cobblestone stairs anywhere (other stairs still work correctly)

• move away from the stairs until the chunk is unloaded

• move back to the stairs

• notice how it is disapeared
