Minecraft Version 1.8.8 Black Screen

Hello everyone,

I am here to report a problem with the latest version of Minecraft. This problem is a Black Screen while playing Minecraft on 1.8.8.

While i am playing Minecraft i will be met with a black screen after playing for a number of minuets like 30 minuets or hours like 2hours or so but it is all random there is no noticeable time length. When the screen goes black there is no way for the game to come back and then depending on Windows i will get an error stating about something not responding which forces me to close it and start again.

I don't know what it causing this problem and i have no idea if it is a bug or something.

This is a technical support issue, which may be related to your graphics drivers.
For assistance, please refer to the technical support resources.

@Stupid3700

It can't be my graphics drivers, No other game has any problems and any other version of Minecraft is not affected

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) to this ticket.

I've uploaded a crash report

i will get an error stating about something not responding which forces me to close it and start again

After having this issue:

Please attach the complete output of the "Game Output (Your Minecraft name) " which can be found on the fourth tab of the launcher to this ticket.

If the launcher closes after game start, please edit your profile and select "Launcher visibility" then, "Keep the launcher open".

@Kumasasa - I found out where the game keeps its logs and i found one where the game did the black screen and crashed. Posting it now.

is the cause

Ok? Dont you guys need that to fix what ever is causing it?

There is nothing to fix. It's driver issue, see MC-73465

Ok i looked at the one you linked to me and there is no way to fix it and Mojangs Support Center does not have the issue listed.

If it is a driver issue i think you need to contact Nvidia and work with them to sort it out
