Diamond armor doesn't affect when player is falling

I'm not sure if it is WAI but if you fall from 23 blocks high, you take 9 hearts and a half of damage.

Reproduce: Tp yourself 23 blocks high.
What I think it should happen: Take less damage.

Normal behavior. Armor does not affect falling damage directly. Featherfalling does. Admin close.
