Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put a step by step guide on how to trigger the bug here
2. ... It said Mojang on the minecraft app
3. ... Than later it was about to go to mine craft's home screen where it says single player etc. But it always crashed before it gets there

In your search bar, enter ~/Library/Application Support/. Find minecraft and go into the resource packs folder and delete the resource pack.
