Hoppers, Redstone Comparators, Block of Redstone, and Daylight Sensors, Nether quartz ore, nether brick (item), and all other quartz items have a white texture saying 'missing texture' This has been happening with written books for me since they were added (see pictures).

Duplicate of MC-7208, please use the search function to see if your bug has already been submitted. Currently over 51% of tickets are being closed as duplicate.
Try reinstalling the MC folder. That may help, and your Java is outdated, you should update it.
