What I expected to happen: My axe and pickaxe to have the slower swing speed. (The charge meter I mean when I say swing speed)
What happened: I can swing my tools as quick as I can punch with my fist.
I can't reproduce it, but it seems to happen when in the nether. The bug can be brought to the overworld though.

Oops. I meant that the charge meter doesn't fill up correctly. So the attack speed is 4(I think non-weapons has 4?) for the tools. Sorry for being unclear.
Looking at your other ticket, it seems that the true bug is that attack speed does not always update when the held item is changed.
Is this still an issue in 15w45a? If so, please explain the issue in detail and provide steps to reproduce it. Please also update the list of affected versions.
Was this in creative mode?
I haven't played since the last two snapshots or so, but I tried reproducing it in 15w45a by going in and out of the nether and didn't find anything. I also tried doing the same thing in 15w41b, and the charge meter got more messed up than I remember. It's kind of hard to explain because it seemed to happen at random times.
Since I can't find the bug in 15w45a I would assume it's been fixed. I only tested this in survival mode.
invalid. You can swing your tools as fast as you like, they ust won't do much damage if you spam click. Also tools still swing quickly when breaking blocks, if that's what you mean.
