Apparently, already fixed internally, so should be fixed in next snapshot.
I tested this out against many different blocks (sandstone, wool, glowstone, melon, furnace, birch log, gold ore block, half slabs, and stairs). I found that it does this with all but half slabs and stairs.
It almost seems like the potted cactus wants to connect to the block next to it.
