I saw this error messege. When I was in my 15w43a test server.
I still don't know what was happening. plz check it out that bug.

I used this snapshot server version.

Thanks for reporting this. I see the same error, making this snapshot unusable for multiplayer. Running the server on my local machine. My specs are nearly identical to yours except I am on Java 8 Update 60 (build 1.8.0_60-b27).

Same error here, nothing in the server logs help much. Specs differ, though:
Server: Ubuntu 15.04 amd64, OpenJDK 1.8.0_45
Client: Windows 10 x64, Oracle Java 1.8.0_60
