i was playing minecraft, and then i couln't break blocks unless i had the right tool. to cut a tree, you need an ax. you cant even dig dirt or sand

This occurs when you are in Adventure mode. /gamemode 0 is survival. /gamemode 1 is creative. /gamemode 2 is adventure.
