I can't take items from inventory or chests or place items in inventory or chests. I can't craft either!

I am struggling with this glitch where I can't take items out or in chests, inventory, furnace, or even craft! This makes it very hard. I looked around a server I play on and asking people how to fix it. I had one answer and it was to log out and log in again. That did not work for me. This bad glitch is in both multiplayer and singleplayer creative and survival even hardcore too! (I think)
