Chests are transparent when ever I look at them from certain angles

I opened up my world and walked over to my storage. to my surprise the chests were transparent. Their outlines were visible, but could be seen through.
What I expected to happen was...:

The chest would be a normal chest.
What actually happened was...:

The chest was transparent. Almost ghost-like I could still see the outline, but through it
