I record Minecraft a lot for YouTube. I really enjoy it and I also like to give the best quality video for my viewers.
However, I updated to Windows 10 and my DirectX version changed from 11.2 to 12. I use the video recording software Fraps. However, I believe that Minecraft is not compatible with Fraps and DirectX 12. I have also tryed to do the same thing on other games and it was working perfectly.
I cannot downgrade to DirectX 11.2 as Windows will not let me.
Please can you help me.

While you are likely to experience a drop in performance from using a video recorder while playing Minecraft, you may in some cases be able to counter some of that loss by using the mod OptiFine. Make sure you get a version matching your Minecraft version and keep in mind there are no guarantees it will work.
Another potential issue is that your computer rig may not be built to handle Windows 10 very well. If its specs are not really far above the operating system's minimum requirements, you might get better performance in an older version of windows. I have an excellent rig for running Minecraft but I still get slightly better performance with Windows XP than with Windows 7.
reaverofdarkness1. Thanks for your reply.
However, I already have optifine installed to the latest version and I have checked my Graphics Drivers. My operating system can definitly run Windows 10. I have a really powerful computer but when I start recording it drops to 12 FPS.
I know that it is a bug within Minecraft because when I had DirectX 11.2 installed it worked perfectly but when I installed DirectX 12 it did that.
The problem is the game because all of the other games work perfectly with DirectX 12 and record at 300 FPS. It is only Minecraft
Thanks for You help though
