[MC-95299] single and multiplayer dont work

What I expected to happen was...:
the game to just start up

What actually happened was...:
as soon as i open a singleplayer world my game crashed
it doesnt connect to any servers but i have a stable internet connection
Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch the game
2. start a singleplayer world
3. crash

i didn't try all version only all of the 1.8.X worlds
