[MC-95696] Settings not saved exiting the game using the Close (X) button

If you set your brightness at bright, and then close minecraft, your brightness will reset to moody when you start the game again.

How do you quit ? By the menu or by closing the program ?

I just click save and quit to title, en then press the red cross in the top left corner

try clicking quit game on the main menu, instead of the x button

Cannot reproduce in 1.13-pre3, although someone else should also try to reproduce this.
