When you give a mob the NoAI tag, it still falls down and takes knockback, in previous versions this wasn't happening, so I assume it's a glitch, anyway, I would like to have it back how it was in 1.8. You can cause this (glitch?) by doing /summon (any entity) ~ ~ ~ {NoAI:1}

By the way, NoAI made them not fall, and ignore the motion tag before, there is also a very weird bug, when you give a boss mob no AI that boss' boss bar will not change ever.

that's MC-84243, same story, NoAI is a internal state and any issues with it won't be fixed

So, you mean that if anything is wrong, nothing is going to be solved? How nice for the mapmakers that depended on that, if that's the case, also the mobs just turn around as usual, only on the same block.

Any part of an entities behavior that is not implemented as part of the AI is not affected by the NoAI tag.
