World Disappears from world selection menu

I was last on this world two days ago when I exited out like usual. When I got on today I could not select that world on the menu. It was not there. When I check the game files the world is still in the saves file. But when I go back into Minecraft it was still not there. Unfortunately this is the second time this has happened to me; the last time it happened was several months ago. Is there anything I can do to access the world again? thanks!

Please attach the logfies out of .minecraft/log as of before and after this has happend.

I'm not sure if I did it right, but here are the logs. I also added the latest.log because I noticed it mentioned the world missing, called "Phantomhive estate".

Nothing to see at the end of 2016-03-06:

[19:23:09] [Client thread/INFO]: [CHAT] Changing to clear weather
[19:37:37] [Server thread/INFO]: [warriorcat5: Changing to clear weather]
[19:37:37] [Client thread/INFO]: [CHAT] Changing to clear weather
[19:43:45] [Server thread/INFO]: Saving and pausing game...
[19:43:45] [Server thread/INFO]: Saving chunks for level 'Phantomhive Estate'/Overworld
[19:43:45] [Server thread/INFO]: Saving chunks for level 'Phantomhive Estate'/Nether
[19:43:45] [Server thread/INFO]: Saving chunks for level 'Phantomhive Estate'/The End
[19:45:00] [Server thread/INFO]: [warriorcat5: Changing to clear weather]
[19:45:00] [Client thread/INFO]: [CHAT] Changing to clear weather
[19:45:21] [Server thread/INFO]: [warriorcat5: Changing to clear weather]
[19:45:21] [Client thread/INFO]: [CHAT] Changing to clear weather

but I'm missing there something like

[Client thread/INFO]: Stopping!
[16:35:34] [Client thread/INFO]: SoundSystem shutting down...
[16:35:34] [Client thread/WARN]: Author: Paul Lamb, www.paulscode.com

Is Minecraft crashed there ? Did you close Minecraft without going over the "Save and exit" button ?

In 2016-03-08-1 the world is already broken:

Is there another Log 2016-03-08.log.gz (without -1 ) ? If so, please attach it too.

I've attached the other 2016-3-08 logs for you. I know the game didn't crash, so I must have exited without saving.

No more information in the new log files.
But nothing can be done here.

So there is no way to fix the world? Is there a way to prevent this from happening again?
