Redstonetorches still unreliable in certain directions

I gave a 2 tick pulse through 2 torchtowers in different directions. At the top of the torchtowers are pistons. I expected both pistons to do the same.

Instead 1 of the pistons extended and the other pistons didn't.

How to reproduce:
1. build the setup
2. press the button
3. notice that only 1 piston extends.
