Wildflower Warrior sidequest breaking

Description:

While doing the wildflower warrior sidequest, I did the “Defeat the illagers” part of the quest when it suddenly reset my objective back to “Lead the Gatherer home” and put the quest marker in his original spawn location. Then, when I went to said location, the villager was missing and I had to quit to menu and reload.

Steps to reproduce:

Unknown. After I loaded back in, it had me lead him to his home with no “Defeat the illagers” part of the quest needed, so I just brought him to the camp. I have now completed the quest so I am unable to attempt recreations of this glitch. If anybody sees this and has not yet completed the quest, please attempt to reproduce it and update with step-by-step results in the comments if successful. I am also unsure if this bug is specific to the “Defeat the illagers” part of the quest or if it was simply unlucky timing that makes it seem that way.

Expected results:

I complete “Defeat the illagers” part of the quest, and it puts the quest marker on the camp and updates my objective to “Lead the Gatherer home”

Observed results:

It reset my objective back to “Lead the Gatherer home” and put the quest marker in his original spawn location. When I went to where the quest marker was, the villager was missing and I had to exit to menu and load back in to be able to do the quest. When I used the objective marker/guidance tool, it would lead to where he is supposed to be standing.

Notes:

0:50-1:45 of the attached video contains a section of me walking around confused and killing a few mobs after the glitch occurs. I was unsure if video files were preferred unedited/uncut, so I decided to keep it in. The short section after shows the villager missing from his original position despite the quest marker being there.
