Changing Keybinds breaks some of their functionality

Rebinding a button that for example opens The Map to “tab” (or any other non default keybind) does not let you close the map/ui with the same button, whilst it does with the default keybind - “M”.

The same thing happens when you change the keybinds for things like the Inventory.

Thank you for helping us improve Minecraft! We saved your files:

I discovered that if you remap the button for the inventory to “E”, you cannot close the inventory with the custom keybind. BUT you can close it with the default “I” even if it is completely gone from your keybinds.
This applies to many other UI elements across the whole game.
