Healing Smite not working properly on a ranged weapon

The enchantment healing smite makes it so when you are attacking, there is a chance that it spawns a healing effect at the position of the attacked enemy. While this is a great enchantment for melee weapons, it does nothing for ranged weapons since they are attacking from far away, as its seen in the video at the end. The circles of healing smite go of far in the distance where they do nothing.

Reproduction: Enchant a ranged weapon with healing smite and shoot enemy's with it.

Possible solution: Change it so that the effect of healing smite goes of at the position of the player.

Possible solution 2: make healing smite a melee-only enchant.
