Soul storms immediately stop on appearance; never display on map

after unlocking soul storms in co-op last night, I was very excited to try my first one…only for it to flash a splash screen or something telling me that a soul storm had just ended

so I waited for a new soul storm to begin; the screen flashed that one had started, but the announcement that it had ended flashed immediately after that

I opened my map and checked around; sure enough, there were no soul storms anywhere on the map

so me & the other player completely closed our games and relaunched them, then waited for another soul storm. and once again, it “ended” the instant it began, and no icons appeared on the map

I’m not sure if this bug is co-op exclusive, but it seems soul storms are genuinely unplayable
