Steps to reproduce:
Load my existing offline hero, level 100 and power 151.
Visit the green Town Merchant.
Purchase an item.
Use Refresh Now and hold R to complete the refresh.
Expected result:
The merchant replaces its stock and gameplay continues normally.
Actual result:
The game immediately crashes and opens the Unreal Crash Reporter. The error is EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION, with VCRUNTIME140 and Dungeons_Win64_Shipping in the stack. Normal gameplay and purchasing work.
Frequency:
Buying followed by manually refreshing has crashed repeatedly. One refresh before making a new purchase succeeded, so not every refresh fails.
History:
This previously worked. The problem started after closing the game and returning one or two days later, without an update noticed at the initial onset.
Already tried:
Updating the game, verifying Steam files, and disabling overlays did not resolve it.
Diagnostics:
Eight matching crash dumps were analyzed. The attached report documents the same invalid array-removal operation and memory-copy count in all eight.
Troubleshooting disclosure:
Those eight crashes occurred before a later experimental memory-only correction. That attempt caused a main-menu exit and was retired. No persistent patch remains. Installed game files and save files were not manually edited or reset.
