My skin is corrupted and now I can't play Minecraft

I don't know how I did it but before it happened, I went on Minecraft pocket edition and the first thing I see was the skin not really there, I thought it was just a glitch so when I wanted to go on my world, it said "invalid or skin corrupted" and now I can't play Minecraft I don't know how to fix it, I tried opening and closing the game, changing skins, waiting for days but non of them work, I don't know if it will work but I've been waiting for the next update to come and when I update Minecraft it will give my skin back but if not I have to delete Minecraft and download it back again but I don't want to because I love my builds and all the hard work I've worked on them.        Please Mojang fix it
