"Unable to locate the Java runtime." [ LINUX - ZORIN OS ]

What I expected to happen was...:
Minecraft to start
 
What actually happened was...:
Gave an error:
 Unable to locate the Java runtime
Error details: No such file or directory
Filename on disk: bin
Path: /usr/bin/java
Exists: false
 
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start the launcher
2. Click "PLAY"
 
Other info:
I know how many times this issue was reported. I reported it again because I could not find any solution for Linux.
I am not very experienced with Linux. Please guide me step-by-step. 😞

As a workaround you can (try) installing the jdk instead of the jre (as I know this was required by one user).

We're actually already tracking this issue in MCL-5638, so I've resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.

That ticket has already been resolved as Fixed. The fix will arrive in the next version or is already included in the latest development version of the game, you can check the Fix Version/s field in that ticket to learn more.
