launcher news isn't updated

Moved to the Minecraft launcher project.

Can you please try this:

• Close all Minecraft instances

• make sure there's no Minecraft log window open anymore (if you have logs enabled)

• then close the launcher and reopen it

Is the version number still outdated then?
