Before it broke, pushing the "Super Secret Settings" button (only in 1.8.9 and previous versions) would play a sound, and then apply a goofy visual effect until you pushed F5.
After a recent launcher update (it wasn't immediately after the launcher revamp, only a little bit later), pushing the button now does nothing, only playing the sound.
