I just bought and downloaded the game, opened the launcher and it proceeded to download the main game contents, roughly 250 mbs. after it was downloaded I pressed the large "play" button, a pop up comes and says the game has crashed and cant open, I have the option to close, or look at the crash report, nothing happens when I press view crash report.
I would very much like to play the game I JUST bought, either that or get a refund. Can anybody help??

This is a bug tracker, and not a support platform. What you're experiencing is not a bug with the game, but an issue with your computer. As I said, you can use the Community Support link for further assistance.
There's also a demo version of Minecraft available that you can use to check whether Minecraft is compatible with your system before buying it.
