So, I don't know if it's just me, but it takes a few seconds for the launcher to connect to the internet, even though we have the Wifi antenna 3 meters away from the router, and the computer itself connected to the internet 24-7

Is the launcher not able to establish the connection? Or, is your issue just that it takes some time to connect?
It takes a while to establish the connection when the Latest snapshot profile and the Latest Version profile's version is the same(e.g., Both 1,14)
Hi, I'm getting the same issue and at first tried: Reinstalling the launcher, reinstalling all network drivers and various other trouble shooting/repairing. After some googling and testing I found that this issue seems have something to do with internet browsers for some people. It also affects discord. If I close all my browsers and wait say 5 minutes, then launch the MC launcher again, it will almost always be connected again.
I tested this by also loading the launcher (it was connected) and then opening google chrome, after a moment it would switch to say I was offline. Turn off chrome and then after a little bit it's back online. I honestly don't know what is causing this and I would love for someone to address it because I like to listen to music/have build tutorials open in the background when I play!
