Every time I open the launcher, it has the "latest release" profile selected, instead of the one that was last used (or last selected, in case the launcher was opened, the profile switched and the launcher closed again without starting the game).

We're actually already tracking this issue in MCL-12104, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.

Similar issue with Launcher 2.1.7659 for MacOS wherein it is stuck on the profile it was on before the latest update. If other profiles are used to launch the game it will always revert to that one specific profile on next launch.
