[MCL-12765] after downloading minecraft, I can't open it and get a message saying "Minecraft launcher quit unexpectedly."

A while ago I tried to use minecraft and it wouldnt let me even open it. I got a message saying the launcher quit unexpectedly. I tried deleting it and redownload minecraft and nothing is working.
