launcher_log.txt takes up a lot of space on disk

I was playing minecraft last night when my computer suddenly is low on space. So I ran CleanMyMac X and used the Space Lens feature and I found out there is this text file that takes up several gigabytes.

 

At one point the file became 8 gigabytes large for no apparent reason.

If you open the file, what are its contents? Is there any repeated message in there? If so, what is it?

I opened it, I don't remember what it was, but the screenshot will show part of it.

All it shown as I remember was a bunch of data strings in the log file.

Also, this issue started last night. I have attached the gameplay logs in case there is something causing it.

I also have the same issue. The thing is, the launcher_log.txt only gets large if I play in offline mode/if I have no internet connection. When I play with internet connection on, it doesn't generate large launcher_log.txt file. I have uninstalled minecraft and reinstalled it, but the problem still there. I even unchecked the use the beta version of the launcher, and the problem still persist.

In short, it generates large launcher_log.txt file when you play without internet.

This problem still exist on the current 1.15.2 release.

This is being worked on at the moment. Fix coming up soon. Sorry for any inconvinience this causes.

It almost takes up 83.53 GB in my C Drive...
