Downloading the game from the alternative page here: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/alternative may work for some users

I just bought minecraft for my PC and when I try to download the Mac version (on my Mac computer) it immediately takes me to an Error 404 page.

I tried the link on my phone through the email receipt I received, and same error message.

This is where it takes me when I click Download MacOS after purchasing from the minecraft website.

Downloading from the alternate page brought me to the same error.

I'm also experiencing this issue with the same error message on a mac running El Capitan.
