Unable to login

I recently tried to get an alt account for Minecraft, but I wasn't able to, so I tried to sign in. It asked for my password, which I forgot. so I clicked on "forgot password" and filled out the whole thing and signed in to minecraft.net with the account on my phone. Then, I went to my pc, and entered my email correctly and entered the password correctly. It said "Invalid email or password". I'm not sure what to do.
