Came back to Minecraft after years long break. Downloaded newest version of launcher from website https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download. Launched game, noticed that version was not a 1.16 variant. Redownloaded and "repaired" previous version of launcher. Restarted PC multiple times. Laucher still shows in bottom left corner that latest release is 1.11.2. Cannot find any way online or in launcher client to force update of newest version. Minecraft website says that "latest version" tab should auto-update with latest released version, but nowhere can I find in launcher any version of 1.16.
